Love (III)

Love bade my name lost in the forest black

with lantern forward lit.

Lo, I formed you in love from the watery track.

Come out of this desolate pit.

I am not here to bleed or fight,

but wish to restore your sight.

I abandoned my God given toil

seeking my Eve on earth.

I am engulfed by hot ashen soil

in the middle of hell’s hearth.

My Eve is what I desire and long

Just to hear her lovesong.

You have strayed from our holy covenant.

Little ones are in need.

But, you, are not the worthless worn servant.

For you, I called to lead.

I have given you the better power,

Turn back from this fruit sour.

I stood like watchmen for saving light of Niamh

I am a man incomplete.

My existence is black without Eve.

Bread has rotted with the wet wheat.

And others keep straight Emmaus in pairs two,

I stray without my love true.

Like a hurt addict to his dry bottle,

you hold on so tightly,

And all of your past shakes as you topple.

You trod still blindly.

You abandoned yours and found a new cross.

this, worse than lust, was your worst lost.

And now in this forest, where shall you go?

Your home is beyond these ruins old.

Your heart is mad and your love is low.

Your young soul rots here, turning hellish cold.

I know what you seek is love divine,

Hear me son. You are mine.
